Los Tres Barrios - Qoricancha Group

The partners of the community bank “Los Tres Barrios – Qoricancha” consist of 13 members who live in the community of Qoricancha, which is located in the district of Chincheros in the Urubama province. With its beautiful landscapes and two impressive lagoons, Urubama is located an hour and 15 minutes from the city of Cusco.

Our partners own vast farmlands and are very hard working and resourceful. Their main business is cattle raising and their secondary business is agriculture. In the months when they are not working the fields, sowing and harvesting, they buy and store food for future sale. Every three months they exchange products with other communities that come to Qoricacha. Many of our partners sell their agricultural products throughout the country while some partners sell their calves and dairy products. They’re always doing something productive and trying to get ahead in spite of the harsh climate and other challenges. The partners are requesting the loan to continue to reinvest in their businesses.

Our partners are very appreciative and value this loan. In the community of Qoricancha, it is their only financial support.

Los socios del banco comunal “LOS TRES BARRIOS –QORICANCHA”, son 13 miembros que residen en la comunidad de
Qoricancha, situada en el distrito de Chincheros, perteneciente a la provincia de Urubamba, a 1 hora con 15 minutos de la ciudad del Cusco, de bellos paisajes y dueños de 2 lagunas impresionantes.

Nuestros socios son gente muy trabajadora y muy ingeniosa, ellos se dedican principalmente a la ganadería, ellos cuentan con bastos terrenos, su segunda actividad es la agricultura, y venden lo que sus tierras producen, según las fechas de siembra y cosecha, los otros meses que ellos no están en sus tierras ellos se dedican al comercio, comprando y almacenando víveres para su futura venta, hacen el intercambio de productos con las otras comunidades que se dan cita cada 3 meses en este pueblo, muchos de nuestros socios, llevan a diferentes lugares del País su producción para su venta, otros llevan las crías de sus ganados y los derribados del mismo, siempre están haciendo algo provechoso y tratando de salir adelante pese a las inclemencias de clima y de otros factores. Los socios solicitan el préstamo para así seguir reinvirtiendo en sus diferentes actividades.

Nuestros socios agradecen y valoran el préstamo otorgado, ya que en la comunidad de Qoricancha ellos, solo tienen este apoyo financiero.
