Mrs. Yam Las, 41, and her husband, Mr. You Khem, 44, were married in 1993 and have six children: four sons and two daughters. Four of their children attend school. The family lives on an island in the Mekong River about fifteen kilometers from Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia.
Yam and her husband are farmers. Besides farming, Mr. You Khem is a wooden house constructor as well. He works in his village and in nearby villages.
