The women bring merchandise from Bolivia (clothing, games, and gadgets, among other things). At the same shopping center, other members sell books, others have a kiosk for breakfast food, two members run two restaurants, and two more members sell school supplies. One of our members, Sra. Modesta Escalante, is absent from the group for health reasons. Remember your loan to Santiago Apostol group? Here is a description of the bank from their profile -

The members of the communal bank, “SANTIAGO APOSTOL”, are located in the district of Santiago in the province and department of Cusco.

These members are very hardworking people and want to keep moving ahead, and for that they require a loan to be able to reinvest in their different businesses.

In the closing of their 3rd cycle of loans from Arariwa, I was able to visit them during their final meeting. Celina, their loan officer, discussed with them the importance of paying on time. There was also a discussion about guarantors.

The group will continue to work together for the next cycle.
