Kalyango Rebecca is a businesslady who has been involved in the sale of fishnets to fishermen in Mukono District for over 10 years. She buys the nets in Uganda and, in most cases, delivers them to her customers’ homes – hence staying in close contact with them. Rebecca is a married lady and the mother of seven children, ages 8 - 20 years and all in school. She needs a loan to be able to buy more fishing nets since, whenever she buys in bulk, she is able to make more profits. This enables her to pay school fees for her children and for general upkeep.
