Nubia sells gold and bronze jewelry such as chains, bracelets, charms, rings, and earrings at a flea market in San Jose, California.
Prior to renting the booth at the flea market, Nubia worked for her friend’s business, selling jewelry at shows, fairs, and hospitals for over two years. She decided she wanted to pursue her own business, and her friend encouraged her to do so. Nubia is excited to purchase her own stock of inventory and become a business owner using the skills learned from her friend’s business and from a business training course she recently attended.
In time, Nubia hopes her business will grow and provide enough income to support herself and her husband, who is a retired engineer. Both Nubia and her husband currently work part-time to make ends meet. A $5,000 loan will enable Nubia to purchase her stock of inventory to be sold at the flea market.
