Twelve members make up the "Flor de Mariscal” Association. They have been working with Pro Mujer for 6 years in the Pan American community center in the city of El Alto.

The group is involved in a number of different business activities. Some members sell blankets, some own storefronts in the neighborhood, but most of them sell food as the mainstay of their businesses. These include preparing and selling bread, potatoes, vegetables, and fruit. The "Flor de Mariscal” Association claims they need to generate better earnings because their current incomes are not enough to support their families. For this reason, they need a loan to purchase supplies in large quantities (bags of rice, seasonal fruits, flour, and other items depending on the type of business).
