Rosa Salinas is 55 years old and lives in the district of 13 LT 498 Pque. Porcino Ventanilla-Los Olivos, in Lima, Peru. She is married to Sr. Florencio and they have three children.

“El Nuevo Amancecer de Ventanilla” is comprised of 10 members. Sra. Rosa formed part of the group a year ago and it later merged with another group from the city of Ventanilla, where they meet at a dining hall each month.

Rosa started this business because her father was the founder of the district and was devoted to raising pigs. She saw that she needed to earn her own income as a way of supporting her husband, who is a mason, with the education of their children. Together they have succeeded in improving their pig farm and now have approximately 70 pigs. They also raise ducks and chickens, as well as maintain a fruit orchard. Through much effort, they were able to buy a motortaxi for their son.

With the loan from EDAPROSPO, they want to increase the number of pigs because their goal is to begin exporting meat. She affectionately calls her husband Florencio “my old man” because he helps her every morning by cleaning the animal pens. They know that with much effort and sacrifice, they can achieve great things in their business.

Rosa Salinas de 55 años vive en la zona 13 lt 498 pque.porcino ventanilla-los olivos lima Perú, ella esta casada con el Sr. Florencio ambos tienen 3 hijos.
Ellos se dedican a la crianza y venta de cerdos hace 18 años, la Sra. Rosa forma parte del grupo EL NUEVO AMANECER DE VENTANILLA conformado por 10 personas, ella forma parte del grupo desde hace 1 año y fue invitada por medio de la Municipalidad de Ventanilla ya q ella forma parte del comedor donde se reúnen cada mes.
La Sra. Rosa empezó con este negocio ya que su padre fue el fundador de la zona y se dedicaba a la crianza de cerdos, viendo esto ella decide criar por su cuenta para de esta manera ayudar a su esposo, quien es albañil, con la educación de sus hijos.
Juntos han logrado mejorar su granja ellos empezaron con una chanchita y ahora tienen un aproximado de 70 cerdos incluyendo sus crías además de patos, gallinas y un huerto frutal actualmente con mucho esfuerzo se han comprado un mototaxi para poder ayudar a su hijo, con el préstamo que les otorga EDAPROSPO desean incrementar la crianza de su ganado ya que su meta es llegar a exportar,su esposo Florencio a quien ella llama con cariño “mi viejito” le ayuda cada mañana a limpiar los corrales de los animales ellos saben que con mucho esfuerzo y sacrificio lograran cosas importantes en su negocio.
