The Virgen de la Asunción Community Bank is located in the Cuenca community, which belongs to the Huancavelica department.

Liduvina is a widow with six children. She sells grains. When she started, she bought them going door to door. Now she has the grains ground and sells them at every fair that she can attend. Little by little, her business is growing, thanks to the loans that she receives. She is saving for her children’s education and to be able to have her own mill where she can grind her grains.

With her first loan, Martha bought soft drinks and drinks. That is her business up until now. In spite of the competition that exists in her field, she has been able to get ahead in her business and generate more earnings. She is saving her earnings to be able to buy a vehicle. That way she can transport her merchandise.

Celsa has five children. She sells grains. She started out buying door to door. Now she has the grains ground and sells from fair to fair. Her business has been increasing since she started with her loans. They have helped her a lot; they have changed the quality of her and her children’s lives. With her savings she is thinking of opening a mini market where she can sell her products.
