Julia

Julia is 46 years old. She lives with her husband, who works as a mechanic in a lumber business, her 22-year-old son who is single and employed, and her 14-year-old daughter, who is still in school. Julia constructed a well in the area in front of her house in order to obtain potable water. The well functions as a water main and provides service to over 30 local families. One thing she likes about her work is that she doesn't have to exert herself physically; she only needs to oversee the well's maintenance. She is paid monthly per family, and this business has gone well for the past seven years. In the future, Julia hopes to run a grocery store since her area doesn't have one.

This is Julia's seventh loan with MFP and she enjoys working with her loan group since they don't have problems with each other and support each other whenever problems do arise. With this loan Julia will buy 1500 soles' worth of tubes to supply more families with water. With the rest she will obtain construction materials to repair her home.

Julia tiene 46 años, vive con su esposo quien trabaja como mecánico en una empresa maderera, con su hijo de 22 años que es soltero y trabaja, y con su hija menor de 14 años que está estudiando todavía. Ella mandó a construir un pozo en el terreno frente a su casa para contar con agua potable y de donde brinda el servicio de agua por medio de una red tubular a más de 30 familias de su localidad. Este negocio lo tiene desde hace 7 años atrás y le va muy bien. Lo que le gusta es que no tiene que hacer esfuerzo alguno y solo debe velara por el mantenimiento del pozo. Sus ingresos son mensuales, por cada familia. Posteriormente, Julia quiere tener una tienda de abarrotes porque en su zona no cuentan con una. Este es su crédito número 7 con MFP y le gusta trabajar con banco comunal porque no tienen problemas y todos se apoyan ante cualquier problema. Con el dinero que solicita comprará más tubos para abastecer de agua a más familias, lo que le costará 1500 soles, con lo restante adquirirá materiales de construcción para reparar su vivienda.
