Consentidas Group

In one of the most remote Pro Mujer Focal Centres, "Collpani", you find the Communal Association "Consentidas". With twelve members who organise themselves to help their meetings move forward, they are lead by their president Maribel Apaza and they hope to be together for a long time until they have enough savings to allow them to grow bigger and not depend upon loans in the future. Some of them have commercial businesses like selling car parts, vegetables, clothes, tapestries and jewellery, and others have production businesses like making jackets, skirts and pastries. Those that dedicate themselves to commercial businesses need a loan to buy merchandise and those that have production businesses need to buy fabric, lining, thread and flour.

Eustaquia Villalobos has a locksmith and she used to belong to another group in another Focal Centre, and because of moving house she joined a new group. She mentions that the loans she has obtained have helped her a lot because she has been able to buy work tools like an oxygen tank, a drill and a sander, and now she needs a loan to buy a compressor.

En uno de los Centros Focales más alejados de Pro Mujer, “Collpani” se encuentra la Asociación Comunal “Consentidas”, con doce integrantes que se organizan para llevar a delante su reunión, liderizadas por su presidenta Maribel Apaza, esperan estar juntas mucho tiempo hasta lograr ahorros considerables que les permita capitalizarse y no depender de un préstamo en un futuro. Algunas tienen negocios de comercialización como la venta de repuestos de auto, verduras, ropa, tapiz, joyas y otras se dedican a negocios de producción, como la confección de chamarras, faldas y panadería. Las que se dedican a la comercialización necesitan el préstamo para la compra de mercadería y las que producen necesitan comprar tela, forro, hilo y harina.

Eustaquia Villalobos tiene una cerrajería y antes pertenecía a otro grupo en otro Centro Focal y por el cambio de domicilio se unió a un nuevo grupo, ella menciona que los préstamos obtenidos le han sido de mucha ayuda porque ha podido comprarse herramientas de trabajo como el tanque de oxigeno, taladro, amuladora y ahora necesita el préstamo para la compra de una compresora.
