Marina is a member of the Melcochita cooperative bank.

Marina is married, 47 years old, and has three children ages 28, 21, and 7 in the public school.

Marina had a general store in her home; she had to close it because she became ill and could no longer tend to it. She made hand-knit sweaters for an export company for four years, until her back started to hurt and she had to stop. Her husband gave her a knitting machine, which allowed her to take on projects such as sweaters, which she sells to posts in the market and to neighbors.

Since she has been in Finca, she has learned how to track her earnings and expenditures, and how to safeguard her capital.

Marina needs a loan of 1,000 soles to buy a yarn spinning/winding machine and wools.

Marina’s dream is to grow her business until she exports her products to another country.
