Parveen Muhammad Munir Group

Parveen baji is the wife of Muhammad munir. She has resided in Borewala, Pakistan, for the past 15 years. Borewala city is famous for its shrines. Her husband runs a timber-selling business. He chose this business because there’s no gas available and people use timber for cooking. He has been involved in this business for more than five years. Parveen baji is applying for a loan to buy timber to grow her husband’s business.

This loan consists of two additional people: Elizabeth baji wants a loan to buy an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle) and Irshad baji wants a loan to buy goats for her butcher shop.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.

Note: Parveen baji is seated in the middle of the bajis. Baji means "older sister" and is a term of respect for women in Pakistan.




About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
