Metzi Maglinte

Metzi Maglinte is from the village of Unidos. She is 31 years old. Metzi is married and has two school-aged children. To make a living, Metzi makes and sells food. The main source of income for the business comes from selling snacks and other delicacies in the local community. Metzi has been engaged in her business for more than a year and earns approximately 1,000 Philippine pesos (about $21) a month for these activities.

In 2008, Metzi joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Metzi has successfully repaid a previous loan of 15,000 PHP from PMPC. This previous loan was used to to purchase additional inventory and as working capital. Metzi is requesting a new loan of 20,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase additional products to sell. This will be the fourth loan taken out by Metzi from PMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
