The Heroínas communal bank is starting it's 4th loan cycle with 13 female members. The members are from the Yanama community that is located in the city of Ayacucho.

The members have different businesses, such as selling fruit, food, grains, groceries and firewood.

The case of Rufina is an example. She is 50 years old and has 6 children. Rufina is a street vendor selling food in her community. Sometimes, she travels to markets where she sells fruit and buys barley and potatoes to sell later. Rufina is planning on selling vegetables at the markets in the future.

Other member is Daria, who is 38 years old and has 4 children. Daria sells food near a local transportation company, which she does everyday with the help of her children. In addition, Daria, along with her husband, has farmland in the jungle of Ayacucho that produces coffee and cocoa.

The members need different loan amounts such as 300, 600, 900, and 1,000 Nuevos Soles, with a total of 8,800 Nuevos Soles.

Their loans will be invested in the purchase of vegetables, rice, sugar, oil, fruit, firewood, wheat and barley.

Their dreams are to improve their businesses so that they are stable and that their children complete their education as well as supporting them in everything that they need.
