Munisa Sharifkhodjaeva

Munisa Sharifkhodjaeva is 46 years old. She started her own business two years ago in order to support her husband with the family's expenses. She is a market vendor in Istaravshan town.

Munisa purchases sweets from a local confectioner and sells them in the local market as a wholesale. Munisa, being very polite and talkative by nature, has a lot of customers, which allows her to sell her goods immediately. The inventory she has for sale is of very good quality and selection.

Munisa is seeking to keep her business sustainable and has requested a loan of $600 USD to increase the inventory she has for sale. One of her plans for the future is to open a vending facility in order to expand her business. We believe this current loan will enhance the potential of her business and help Munisa reach all of her aspirations.

Tajikistan is known for its rich history, which includes a key post along the Silk Road and the end of Alexander the Great's rule. It has also produced great thinkers, philosophers, scientists and poets, including Rudaki, Avicenna, Ferdowsi, Omar Khayyam, Jomi, and Rumi. While the people of Tajikistan are working to improve its agricultural production and manufacturing sector, nearly two-thirds of the population still live in abject poverty.
