Men Teang was born in 1944 and is the mother of four children, two married and living independently and two single and working in a garment factory. Men Teang and her husband inherited a plot of farmland from their grandparents and they use this land to cultivate a rice crop to earn a living. With the coming rice season Men Teang hopes to earn additional revenue by using a Kiva loan as capital to order rice from farmers to store and sell later when it commands a higher price.
