Gladys

Gladys is 37 years old and lives in her own house with her husband and her two children who are 16 and 17 years old. For 15 years she has been farming, sowing wheat, barley, beans and potatoes. Every day she looks after her crops to make sure they are growing correctly. As it was recently the harvest, she is now working on the task of putting her products in sacks in order to bring them each weekend to sell at the market in her town and therefore obtain the earnings for which they have waited for 6 months. During the harvest she needs a lot of help, and because of that all of the members of her family work and she also hires laborers to help her with this work. Gladys is very content with doing this activity because it allows her to enjoy the scenery, and although the work is very tiring, it is her way of life, she tells us. For the coming years her desire is to sow a larger quantity of farmland in order to increase her earnings. This is the eighth time that Gladys has had a loan with MFP. She is a very persevering person and her community bank always supports responsible work. In this occasion she is renewing her promise to be punctual in her payments. With the money that she is asking for she will buy sacks of manure and fertilizers for the next sowing season that will happen next month.

Gladys tiene 37 años, vive con su esposo y sus 2 hijos de 16 y 17 años en su casa propia. Desde hace 15 años que cultiva la tierra, siembra trigo, cebada, habas y papa. Todos los días se encarga de hacer un recorrido por sus plantas para asegurarse de su correcto crecimiento. Como acaba de cosechar recientemente, está en la tarea de encostalar sus productos para llevarlos todos los fines de semana a vender en el mercado de su localidad y así obtener las ganancias que se hicieron esperar por 6 meses. Durante la época de cosecha necesita de mucha ayuda, es por eso que todos los integrantes de su familia trabajan y también contrata a peones para que ayuden en esta labor. Gladys está muy contenta de realizar esta actividad porque le permite disfrutar del paisaje, y aunque el trabajo sea muy fatigoso es su forma de vida, nos dice. Para los próximos años su deseo es sembrar mayor cantidad de extensiones de tierra para obtener mayores ganancias. Esta es la octava vez que Gladys tiene un crédito con MFP, ella es una persona muy perseverante y en su banco comunal siempre promueve el trabajo responsable. En esta ocasión renueva su compromiso de ser puntual en sus pagos. Con el dinero que viene solicitando comprará sacos de abono y fertilizantes para la próxima campaña de siembra que será el próximo mes.
