Virginia Tableso

Virginia is already 59 years old. She helps her husband manage their rice fields so that they develop a good harvest every cropping season. In connection with this, she is requesting loan assistance from Kiva amounting to PHP 24,000 to buy their needed farm inputs such as fertilizers, seed variety and some insecticide/pesticide. She is thankful that through ASKI, she learned about Kiva loans and has had an opportunity to have financial assistance for their field.

Virginia hopes that Kiva lenders will grant their needed amount. Virginia further said that, through farming, they are able to surpass every economic crisis. However, due to the prevalent increase in the prices of farming inputs, and just to survive every difficulty of life, they used to depend on lending traders who charge high interest rates. She hopes that through a Kiva loan, which is more favorable than loans from other traders, she and her husband will soon have a better harvest.
