Estela Celerio

Estela Celerio is from the village of Tuod, Manticao Misamis Oriental. She is 45 years old. Estela is married and has four adult children. To make a living, Estela owns & operates a specialized retail business. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from selling charcoal, rice, firewood and more in the local community. Estela has been engaged in her business for over eight years and earns approximately 12,000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2008, Estela joined HSPFI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Estela has successfully repaid a previous loan of 4000 PHP from HSPFI. This previous loan was used to purchase additional products to sell. Estela is requesting a new loan of 7000 PHP, which will be used to purchase additional products to sell. This loan will be the fourth loan taken out by Estela from HSPFI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to support the education of her children.
