Farida Omali

Mambo (greetings) from Tanzania! This is 48-year-old Farida Omali from Mwanza. She is divorced, with three children between the ages of 14 and 19 years old.

Farida has been running a soda business since 2007. It is said that Pepsi is one of the most recognized symbols in the world, and it’s true. Even in the most remote villages in Africa, there is usually some kind of shop selling Coke, Fanta, and Guinness. The hot weather makes soft drinks all the more appealing - a very cheap marketing tool! All of which explains why selling soft drinks is such a popular venture.

Farida works at the business for twelve hours per day, six days per week and currently earns about 150 USD from her business. She is requesting a loan of 325 USD in order to purchase more soda to sell to her customers. In the future, she plans to expand her business. Farida thanks you for your support!
