Saidmahmad Usupov

MLF “MicroInvest” is one of the leading microfinance organizations, rendering credit services to the population of Tajikistan. Following its development MLF “MicroInvest” transformed into a Microloan Deposit-taking Organization. In October 2008 MLF “MicroInvest” together with LLC “Frontiers” founded the Limited Liability Company Microloan Deposit-taking Organization “Arvand”.

“Arvand” continues to carry out its mission, which is to improve the standard of living of the population and create new opportunities for social and economic development by providing qualitative financial-technical services to entrepreneurs of Tajikistan.

Usupov Saidmahmad first applied to MicroInvest in 2007 but after its transformation into “Arvand” he started working with “Arvand”. He wants to work with “Arvand” until he can stabilize the existing business and to start helping other small entrepreneurs.

Saidmahmad works in the livestock business. It is his family business and his wife and children help him. He has worked with livestock for 15 years; he has a small flock. Saidmahmad also works in the collective farm. He has a good reputation as a hard-working man. Saidmahmad wants to build a new summer house for the cows and so he is applying to KIVA for a business development loan..
