MLF “MicroInvest” is one of the leading microfinance organizations, rendering credit services to the population of Tajikistan. Following its development MLF “MicroInvest” transformed into Microloan Deposit-taking Organization. In October, 2008 MLF “MicroInvest” together with LLC “Frontiers” founded the Limited Liability Company Microloan Deposit-taking Organization “Arvand”.
“Arvand” continues to carry out its mission, which is to improve the standard of living of the population and create new opportunities for social and economic development by providing qualitative financial-technical services to entrepreneurs of Tajikistan.

Kodirova Mamlakat first applied to MicroInvest in 2006 but after its transformation into “Arvand” she started working closely with “Arvand”. Today she is one of the active clients who trusts our organization and intends to help continue our work. Mamlakat is married with 3 children; they live in Zafarabad. She is a loving mother who does her best to ensure the good future of her children. For the last 6 years Mamlakat has traded dry fruits and rice. She works with the supplier so she can sell her goods at prices lower than in the bazaar. She has repeat and wholesale customers.
Mamlakat is applying to KIVA for a loan of 2000 STJ, which she will use for importing rice from Iran. Iranian rice is popular and having it to sell should help her business increase.
