Otgon Sambuu

Otgon Sambuu lives with his wife and three small children in Arhangai province, one of Mongolia's central provinces. His oldest daughter is 14 years old and goes to a local school. The next daughter is just 6 years old and goes to a local kindergarten. His son is just 1 month old and stays with his mother at home.

Otgon has a small retail business in clothing. He started his clothing business in 2006 with capital of 150,000 MNT ($1 USD = 1,450 MNT). He frequently travels to Ereen, China, a border town from where many Chinese cheap products are imported, and buys cheap yet trendy clothes for women and men.

Since the start, Otgon has done well and his business capital has increased to 2,500,000 MNT. With the profit, he was able to purchase a small car for his family’s needs. In the future, he would like to expand his business by selling more diverse clothes for women and men. He requests a loan to purchase more clothes from Ereen, China.
