Epifania

Epifanía is 50 years old and very loving to her family, which consists of her husband and their four children, and they live together in a home they own. Since she was very little Epifanía worked on the land. Her preferred crop was potatoes, but at some point her harvest failed due to the low prices garnered at the market, and the climate did not help her develop her products. Since that time she started buying and selling vegetables, and ultimately cheeses as well, at the city market of Merced. This year her client base has notably increased, allowing her to bring in more income for her household while her husband continues making a living in agriculture. Now that both are working, it appears that their income has improved and they don't feel as much of a burden in paying for the education of their four children. Epifanía feels very satisfied with her business, and she provides good service to every customer, since she knows her it's thanks to them that her quality of life is improving. If she keeps working with this dynamic she will soon be able to reach her goal of buying some land in the city to help her children, so they won't have to commute as far daily to school. This is her ninth loan with Kiva partner MFP, and she has paid all her previous ones punctually. She feels very satisfied to belong to her community bank, where she receives a lot of moral support. With the money she is requesting, she plans to purchase chemical fertilizers and purchase more vegetables for her business.

Epifanía tiene 50 años, es una mujer muy amorosa con su familia, la cual está conformada por su pareja y sus 4 hijos, viven en su casa propia. Desde muy pequeña labraba la tierra, su cultivo preferido era la papa, pero en alguna oportunidad fracasó con su cosecha debido al precio muy bajo del mercado y el clima no ayudó al desarrollo de sus productos. Desde entonces comenzó a comprar y vender verduras y últimamente también quesos a la ciudad de la Merced. Este año ha incrementado notablemente sus clientes, permitiéndole captar mayores ingresos para su hogar, mientras que su esposo se sigue dedicándose a la agricultura. Ahora que los dos trabajan, percibe que los ingresos son mayores y de ese modo no sienten mucha carga para pagar la educación de sus 4 hijos. Epifanía está muy contenta con su negocio y a cada cliente le da su mejor atención, puesto que sabe que gracias a ellos está mejorando su calidad de vida. De seguir trabajando con esta dinámica pronto alcanzará su meta de comprar un terreno en la ciudad para el bienestar de sus hijos y se eviten viajar diariamente hacia el colegio. Este es su noveno crédito con MFP y así como pagó todos sus créditos anteriores oportunamente, ahora se compromete seguir cumpliendo de esa manera. En cuanto a su banco comunal, se siente muy satisfecha de pertenecer a él, ya que dice encontrar mucho apoyo moral. El dinero que ahora solicita lo utilizará para la compra de fertilizantes químicos, y para comprar más verduras para su negocio.
