Marilyn Madriaga

Being engaged in fish vending for 30 years is such an achievement, and while it has been a challenge to maintain a business in those long years, Marilyn Madriaga has done it. At the age of 54, still very energetically selling her fish in the market and at the same time operating a food processing business, she says that patience is really her foundation in achieving her dreams. Her monthly income of PHP 4,000 is used to help meet their household expenses.

Marilyn’s husband, Wenceslao, is a carpenter. Her oldest child, Alfredo, is a construction worker while her other child is only eight years old and currently enrolled in Grade 2. They are peacefully living at barangay Research Minante 1, Cauayan, Isabela. With her desire to improve her business, Marilyn is requesting a loan of PHP 20,000 to use as additional capital that will enable her to buy different kinds of fish to sell to her customers.
