So Kimhuor's Group

There are four people who are jointly taking this loan. Its leader, Mr. So Kimhuor, is 47 years old and a rice farmer. He also climbs many palm trees to tap palm juice and boils the palm juice into palm sugar to sell in the market. He typically makes around 10 kilos of sugar per day and sells it to buyers at the price of $0.50 per kilo. His wife stays at home and makes a few clayish pots for a profit. This old couple has eight children; one of the children lives separately and the others are living in home and assist in their parent’s works. So Kimhuor requested a loan to buy a trailer, which he will use to pick up firewood for boiling palm juice. The other borrowers are:
Mrs. Chen Neth will be using a loan to decorate the ladder of her house.
Mr. Oem Komhong is a local farmer, who is asking for a loan to buy fertilizer for his crop.
Mrs. Long Boreth is a grocer who is requesting a loan to purchase additional essential ingredients for cooking.
