Sabougnouma 4 Group

The ten women of the Sabougnouma 4 group are all married and average 36 years of age and 2 children. They live in polygamous families in Djambougou, one of the villages in the rural city of Tingolé, Fana subprefecture, 2nd administrative region of Mali.
They collaborate with Kiva's partner, the microfinance organization Soro Yiriwaso, in order to realize their rainy season activities. They mainly grow peanuts and millet. They are seeking their third loan from Soro Yiriwaso, and the previous loans ended without problems. With this new loan, they intend to buy seeds, fertilizers, small materials, and to pay for the cost of labour and hoeing of 17.5 hectares. After the harvest, the production will be sold at the following markets : Marka-Coungo, Fana and Tingolé, to a clientele comprising both men and women.
They intend to turn an average profit of XOF 40'000 (ca US$ 85) per campaign, to be used to repay the loan and help their husbands to provide for the family.

Les dix femmes du groupe Sabougnouma 4 sont toutes mariées avec une moyenne d’âge de 36 ans, 2 enfants et vivant dans des familles polygames à Djambougou un des villages de la commune rurale de Tingolé, sous préfecture de Fana, 2ème région administrative du Mali.
Elles collaborent avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de mener à bien leurs activités hivernales. Les spéculations sont l’arachide et le petit mil. Elles sont à leurs troisièmes collaborations avec l’institution, les prêts passés se sont bien dénoués.
Avec ce nouveau prêt, elles comptent acheter, des semences, des intrants, des petits matériels et payer les frais de sarclage et de labour pour entretenir 17.5 hectares.
Les productions seront vendues au niveau des marchés de Marka-Coungo, Fana et Tingolé après les récoltes à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes.
Elles comptent réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 40 000FCFA par campagne qui sera utilisé pour rembourser les intérêts du prêts et aider les maris à subvenir aux dépenses familiales.
