Unidos Al Progreso Group

Irma Olinda Huamán Calderón, I am 49 years old. For 3 years I have been the president of EDAPROSPO-PROSPERIDAD in the community group “Unidos al Progreso” (united for progress). The 12 members of our group work in retail, we call ourselves “Unidos al Progreso” because we believe that being united will bring us progress. I have always had the initiative to generate my own income. In order to do that, I started selling fruit candy from my home. I also worked as a seamstress and these activities generated a small profit with which I bought more sweets. I felt that this business could move forward but I needed some capital that I did not have. For that reason, I reached out to EDAPROSPO – PROSPERIDAD in order to obtain a loan to help me improve my business. Who would have thought that I would now have a small shop, which I intend to continue improving with additional loans from EDAPROSPO – PROSPERIDAD until it is converted into a grocery store. Today I feel very fulfilled with the support of EDAPROSPO – PROSPERIDAD, it has not only helped me with expenses, but has also helped me provide a better quality of life for my 24 year old disabled son.

Irma Olinda Huamán Calderón, tengo 49 años de edad, hace tres años participo como presidenta en EDAPROSPO-PROSPERIDAD en la alcancía comunal “Unidos al Progreso”, los doce integrantes que formamos esta ALCOM nos dedicamos al comercio, la llamamos así porque si estamos unidos, el progreso será para todos.
Siempre tuve la idea de generar mis propios ingresos, para ello empecé a vender chups de frutas en mi casa, además hacía servicio de costura. Esto me generó pequeñas ganancias que pude comprar golosinas; pero sentí que quería seguir creciendo, para ello era necesario contar con un capital el cual no lo tenía. Por tal motivo acudo a EDAPROSPO – PROSPERIDAD a fin de obtener el crédito, lo que ayudó a crecer más mi negocio, quien diría hoy en día es una pequeña tienda que pienso seguir implementando con los siguientes préstamos que recibiré de EDAPROSPO-PROSPERIDAD hasta verlo convertido en una bodega. Hoy me siento una mujer superada con el apoyo de EDAPROSPO – PROSPERIDAD, no sólo ayudó en los gastos, también pude darle una mejor calidad de vida a mi hijo (especial) de 24 años.
