Sarwari baji wants a loan to buy material (beads, colored thread and clothes) for preparing embroidered dresses.
Ghulam Fatima baji wants a loan to buy food items (biscuits & chips) for her canteen.
Nafeesa baji wants a loan to buy groceries for her grocery shop.
Manzooran baji wants a loan to buy animals (goats) for her animal selling business.

Maqsoodan baji is the group leader of the aforementioned ladies. Her members selected her as group leader because of her good behavior. She has lived in Vehari, Pakistan for the past 15 years. Her husband’s name is Abdul Ghaffar. He is a farmer and grows vegetables. He is very active at growing potatoes and carrots. This very lucrative agriculture activity brings in the money he needs to support his family. Maqsoodan baji’s present goal is to double her production and, thus, her income. This is why she is requesting a loan to buy fertilizer and seeds for her husband’s vegetable growing business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed amongst the group members; each member will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.

About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
