Las Provincianas Group

Las Provincianas is a group of 12 women who attend their meetings at the Alto Lima community center. They share the characteristic of speaking the Aimará language (native language).

Teodora Limache explains that they initially met in the German Busch zone in a rented house. But, with the passage of time, they had to move to the Alto Lima community center. Teodora sells jackets that she takes to Desaguadero (on the border with Perú). She will use the loan to buy jackets, and she will be careful so that they are different styles.

The rest of the members also have different businesses such as selling calculators, blankets, fish, vegetables, sweaters, and other things.

“Las provincianas” son un grupo de 12 señoras que asisten a sus reuniones en el Centro Focal “Alto Lima”, se caracterizan por hablar el idioma aimará (idioma nativo).Teodora Limache explica que inicialmente se reunían en la zona German Busch en una casa alquilada, pero con el pasar del tiempo, se tuvieron que trasladar a el Centro Focal “Alto Lima”. Teodora tiene el negocio de venta de chamarras que lleva a Desaguadero (Frontera con Perú) y el préstamo que obtiene lo invierte para comprar chamarras, cuidando que sea de diferentes modelos. Las demás integrantes también tienen diferentes negocios como: venta de calculadoras, mantas, pescado, verduras, chompas y otros.
