Wale Kafisa Ii Group

Here are Ramatu Sesay, Saio Turay, Aminata Sesay, Kainday Mansaray, Aminata Koroma and Memunah Kamara. They named their group Wale Kafisa II. They are residents and small-scale businesswomen in the village of Heremakono, about ten miles from Kabala, Sierra Leone. They are seeking a loan of Le 800,000 for each woman to help them improve their businesses, both in size and in quality.

Ramatu Sesay (left) is the leader of this group. Ramatu was born in Heremakono Village thirty-one years ago. She is married to a farmer and they have two children. Ramatu is a farmer; she has been a farmer for twelve years. Fatmata will use her loan to buy seeds and pay for labor. Ramatu plants rice, sweet peppers, and cabbages. The loan will help her to expand her farm and, consequently, improve her standard of living.
