Nailina Massingue

Thank you for your loan. It has been disbursed to Nailina Massingue by Hluvuku-Adsema in Mozambique. We are excited to watch this business grow. Over the 16 months of this loan, Hluvuku-Adsema will be collecting repayments from this entrepreneur and posting progress updates on the Kiva website.

Nailina is a single mother responsible with supporting 7 children. With her Kiva loan Nailina helped finance the construction of her home. The construction is almost complete and she is now looking to take out an additional loan to construct a small concrete wall around here home. In the future she would like to build a rental unit on her property to create an additional income stream.

Nailina is employed as an administrative assistant for the state. She also owns a small store front from which she sells various goods. As you can see Nailina has quite the entrepreneurial spirit. She is also very proud of having raised all of her children. Nailina expects to continue to take out loans with Hluvuku to finance her many projects. She has been a great client at Hluvuku and has always made repayments on her loans in advance of their due date.

About housing in Mozambique: In rural Mozambique many people still do not live in proper homes. Years of civil war and economic shocks have inhibited residents from accessing capital and buying building materials for their homes. The last several years have been relatively prosperous and many residents are using microfinance as a means to commence construction of their home.
