Cate Nakasi is the leader of Kayunga market group 1. She is a hard-working and devoted lady who has had a business selling fresh foods and vegetables in the market area since 1996, when her husband died. Her produce includes tomatoes, onions, cabbages, Irish potatoes, carrots, and vegetables. She is happy that she has been able to make a profit from her business. She uses the profits to pay school fees for her two children, one of whom is still at the university. Cate also helps to care for two orphans, who are also in school.
She has also been able to buy a Fresian cow that she hopes will give her milk for sale. She needs this loan to help buy maize brand for the cow and fresh produce for sale at her stall.
