Lucia is a very hard-working and devoted mother, wife and grandmother. She continually strives to ensure the well-being of her household and even more so now that her house is under construction.

Not having a fixed business location is not a limitation for her, but a challenge to overcome. Her work over these last 4 years as a street vendor demonstrates her desire to keep moving forward. She goes out at 11 am every day to sell homemade meals at the entrances of high schools. Students are her main customers- her business makes a profit off of the large student population. She is able to sell in large quantities thanks to her affordable prices, which have given her steady business to this day.

Lucia is planning to set up shop in her home, which is currently under construction, and hopes it will soon become a reality. Her 13 loans with Microfinanzas PRISMA are thanks to the integration of her communal bank. Each member contributes what is necessary for the organisation’s growth, which is what Lucia likes best. With the money she is requesting, Lucia will purchase the utensils and food she needs to increase the amount of food she sells.
