Facundo Genez is 75 years old, married and has eight older children. He works making clay bricks that are later baked in a firewood oven. These bricks are then used as the raw material for building houses. Facundo began working with his father from whom he learned the trade. He currently has one of the most renowned brick-making businesses in the area. He produces about 40,000 to 45,000 bricks per month. His success is due to the weather resistant, high quality bricks he makes.
Thanks to his work and constant effort, he has been able to build his own house and with his income cover the expenses of his children’s educations as well as household expenses. The credit he has applied for is for the repair of a bricklaying mill, which is used to mix clay and other raw materials to make bricks.
