The Village Bank Santa Rosa de Matipacana adjoins the district of Yauli, a town surrounded by hills, streams and eucalyptus plantations. The primary activities of this community are artisanship and cattle farming.

Isabel is married with four children. She raises and sells pigs and cattle, a business through which she has educated her kids, something that she is proud of. With her loan she will purchase pigs and in the future she would like to have a large farm to rear them.

Hilda learned to embroider and sew when she was a little girl, activities she still does and which have paid for her education. Hilda is looking to save her money to set up an artisanal workshop.

Lidia is single without kids and has a small grocery store, which provides customers with new products every time she receives a loan. Her goal is to eventually have a large, well-stocked store and continue saving so that when she has kids they will not go without.
