The community association "Renacer" is part of the Panamerican focal center. The women attending the center are women who migrate from rural communities and settle in periurban areas, and the members of the association "Renacer" are no exception, they carry out the kind of business they learned at their place of origen, such as knitting.

The association has been working with Pro-Mujer for more than four years. The president, Julia Guarachi, mother of three, started the group with neighbors. Julia is knitting gloves and caps for winter, as well as other members, and she states that with the support of loans she managed to increase her family income and now she is able to pay two of her daughters to increase the production. Other members make ropes and some have businesses making carved furniture. The majority of the members requests loan to buy raw material (wool and wood).
