Vida Asamoah

Vida Asamoah is forty years old. She is divorced and has given birth to seven children - four daughters and three sons. All are currently in school – senior high, junior high and the primary schools. She lives with her children in a rented apartment in a commercial town called Dwenase in the Western Region. Dwenase is a suburb of Sefwi-Wiawso, the district capital.

Vida is a trader and trades in foodstuffs – plantain, cocoyam (taro) and yam. She has been in business for six years. She sells on a table at the market square and also supplies to other retailers and food vendors. Vida buys her goods from nearby communities and wants a loan to buy foodstuffs in bulk. She aspires to expand her business and give her children a good education.
