Ali Aliu

Ali is 36 years old. She is divorced and the mother of seven children. She says that with the help of God all her children attend school. She owns and operates a grocery shop and sells items like sugar, vegetable oil, bottled water, skimmed powdered milk, biscuits and babies products like napkins, feeding bottles etc. in her neighborhood. With her six years of business experience, she has been very supportive to the family. She is widowed so all the family responsibility rests on her shoulders.

Fortunately, her business has been positioned at a strategic location within the town where she lives. With the loan, she wants to purchase more crates of assorted drinks, bags of sugar, cartons of vegetable oil, boxes of biscuits etc. to increase her inventory. She hopes to improve her savings to support her children in school. Ali belongs to a village bank called ‘Aqua Allah’, which means God is Able.
