Leticia Ankomah

Leticia Ankomah has eight children--two sons and six daughters. all of whom are in school. She is 40 years old and married. She lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in Dwenase, a suburb of Sefwi-Wiawso in the Western Region of Ghana. Her husband is a farmer. She is a fish monger who sells smoked fish. She sells the fish on a tabletop at the market square. She also supplies fish to other retailers and food vendors in her community. She buys cartons of fresh fish from big cold stores in Kumasi and smokes them herself. She has been in business for ten years and wants a loan to buy fish in bulk. She desires to expand her business and give her children the best education she can afford.
