Arceli Pahilangco

Arceli Pahilangco is from the village of Damayuhan, Gingoog City. She is 50 years old. Arceli is married and has 4 adult children. To make a living, Arceli owns & operates a business buying & selling green bananas and coconut fruit. Her husband is a fisherman. Arceli is supporting this business to expand. Arceli and her husband have been engaged in these businesses for over 20 years and earn approximately 15,000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2007, Arceli joined HSPFI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and to engage in business activities. Arceli has successfully repaid a previous loan of 15000 PHP from HSPFI. This previous loan was used to purchase a motor for their pump boat. Arceli is requesting a new loan of 15000 PHP to be used to purchase additional fishing nets and to finance her buying and selling business. This will be the 7th loan taken out by Arceli from HSPFI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to supplement the income of the family.
