Jane Tumusiime's Group

Tumusiime Jane is a hard working and bold lady who knows what she wants, no matter what. She is the leader of Kanyansheko Bakyara Twimukye group in Ibanda and a widow, with 7 children. All of her children are in O level school. She also cares for many relatives, although they do not stay with her. Jane has had a business of rearing goats for sale for 3 years, in Nyakigando village. The main business challenge is the failure to access drugs for her animals. She is able to make 50,000 UGX as profits per week, hence being able to look after her children. Jane is also a farmer, though on a small scale, and the food helps to feed her children and the excess is sold off for money. She has a dream of buying more goats and of growing more crops so as to turn into a modern farmer for more profits from more customers. She needs a loan to be able to buy more goats for her farm.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
