Seng Sina

Seng Sina, 40, is married and lives with five of her children in the Batambong province. She grows and sells vegetables, making US$5 every day. Her husband runs a moto-taxi making approximately US$3 each day. They are also supported by two of their children who are employed. The weather conditions have been difficult for farming in Cambodia this past year and inflation struggles have affected all Cambodians. These factors have played into a difficult economic year for much of the country, Seng Sina included. The country’s economic struggles always seem to affect the poor the most. In light of the country’s economic difficulties, Seng Sina is seeking to increase her income and reduce her transportation cost. She is asking for a loan of US$1000 to purchase a motorbike to transport vegetables to sell at the market.
