Rossana Sanchez Najar

Rossana belongs to the "Ciudad de los Tres Pisos" Communal Bank. She lives in the city of Lamas, in Lamas province, Department of San Martín. She is 35 years old and lives with her common-law husband and her son, who is in school.

For many years now Rossana has made a living through farming. She tells us that she started out by planting banana trees on her own farm.

Rossana personally takes charge of caring for her banana trees, but she hires agricultural workers to help her plant and harvest the bananas. She started out with 300.00 soles and gradually saved her money. Currently her farm has more than two hundred banana trees; bananas are a product that families here in the rainforest consume daily.

She will use this loan of 3,000.00 soles to purchase more banana trees, along with a special fertilizer that will improve the bananas' growth. She will also invest part of the money in paying the agricultural workers who help her to harvest the bananas, since every month they pick from 80 to 100 bunches of bananas.

One of Rossana's dreams and aspirations is to set up a large grocery store so that she can generate more income and continue contributing to the household income.

Rossana now feels that she is a very accomplished woman who wants to achieve and make her dreams a reality. She is grateful for the help that the Manuela Ramos organization gave her in starting her business, along with the many other women who want to grow their businesses.

Rossana, pertenece al Banco Comunal “Cuidad de los Tres Pisos”, vive en el la Cuidad de Lamas, Provincia de Lamas, Departamento de San Martín. Es Conviviente, tiene 35 años y 01 hijo estudiante, que aún depende de ella.

Desde hace muchos años se dedica a la agricultura, nos cuenta que se inicio sembrando sus plantones de plátanos en su propia chacra.
Personalmente se encarga de cuidar sus plantones de plátanos, pero cuenta con peones que la ayudan a sembrar y cosechar sus plátanos. Se inicio con S/. 300.00 y poco a poco fue ahorrando, en la actualidad su chacra tiene más de doscientos plantones de plátanos, producto que en la selva se consume a diario en las familias.

Con este préstamo de S/ 3,000.00, comprara plantones de plátanos, abono especial para mejorar el crecimiento de los plátanos. Parte del dinero también lo invertirá en el pago a sus peones que la ayudan a cosechar sus plátanos, ya que mensualmente le salen de 80 a 100 racimos de plátanos.

Uno de sus sueños y metas por lograr, es implementar una bodega grande con abarrotes, para generar más sus ingresos y continuar aportando en la economía de su hogar.

Hoy en día se siente una mujer muy realizada, con más ganas de alcanzar y hacer realidad sus sueños. Agradece a Manuela Ramos por ayudarla a iniciarse en el trabajo que realiza y también a muchas mujeres que quieren crecer empresarialmente.
