Nelly Mensa-wood

Nelly Mensa-Wood is 45 years old. She is a married mother of five children, one son and four daughters. One is in senior high while the others are in junior high and primary schools. She lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in Dwenase, a commercial town in the western region of Ghana.

Nelly is a hard working woman. She works to support her husband, who works for a cocoa marketing company. Nelly runs a grocery store. She sells groceries such as Milo (a brand of malted milk sold by Nestle in West Africa), sugar, rice, candies, and bread in a store near the street. She has been in business for two years and wants a loan to buy more groceries to expand her business. She hopes to give her children the best education that she can afford.
