Treal Trop's Group

This group of borrowers consists of five people. Its leader, Mrs. Treal Trop, is age 29. Presently, She turns palm leaves into furniture and then sells door-to-door in the village for a profit. Another source of the family's income comes from her husband who works driving a motor taxi. This modest couple are good parents who are very responsible to their one young child who is still not enrolled in school.

Recently, the family's living conditions are not comfortable due to their house being surrounded by bad water during the coming rainy season, which is harmful to their health. Therefore, Treal Trop requested a loan to buy the plot of land surrounding her house.

There are four borrowers who are jointly taking this loan:

Mr. Chorng will use this loan to buy a bicycle to ride to his work in construction.

Mrs. Chreb is a local mat weaver who is asking for a loan to purchase more raw materials.

Mrs. Eourm will be using the loan to buy material to make mats.

Mrs. Chrech is looking for a loan to buy a bicycle for her family's riding needs.




About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
