Marichu Dumape

Marichu Dumape is from the village of Balide, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. She is 30 years old. Marichu is married and has 2 school-aged children. To make a living, Marichu owns & operates a business providing photocopying services in the local community. Marichu has been engaged in her business for over 2 years and earns approximately 5000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2007, Marichu joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and to engage in business activities. Marichu has successfully repaid a previous loan of 20,000 PHP from GDMPC. This previous loan was used to purchase equipment to improve the business. Marichu is requesting a new loan of 25000 PHP to be used to purchase materials needed to expand the services provided. This will be the fourth loan taken out by Marichu from GDMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay school tuition and to improve the general living conditions of her family.
