Nguyễn Thị Khương

Khương Nguyễn Thị (1316030521) is a 42-year-old female living in the town of Hưng Nguyên. She is married and has seven school-aged children. To making a living, Khương owns and operates a business venture in the agriculture sector raising livestock. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes from raising ducks for sale. Khương has been engaged in this business for over 11 years and earns approximately 5,000,000 VND a month from these activities.

In 1998, Khương joined Kiva partner, TYM Fund, to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Khương has successfully repaid a previous loan of 7,000,000 VND from TYM Fund. This loan was used to purchase baby livestock to raise and then sell in the future. Khương is now requesting a new loan of 10,000,000 VND, which will be used to purchase breeding livestock. The loan will be her sixth from TYM Fund. Khương plans to use the additional revenue generated to improve and expand her business.
