Joana is 48 years old, she was born in the province of Gaza, she is a widow with 4 children, who are between 12 and 26 years old. The two older ones will be working as elementary school teachers, her eldest daughter is preparing to be a nun. Joana supports her youngest kid and her nice who is an orphan, as she lost her mother and was abandoned by his father.
Joana left Gaza after her husband was transferred to work at Namaacha a village at the frontier of Suazilandia. Two years after he was transferred she went to see his husband and took her family with her. When she arrived she started working as a teacher at an elementary school and worked there for 20 years with a monthly salary of 5.500.00mt, she also worked overtime at night and earned extra pay of 3.000mt.
Her life turned very difficult when her husband died leaving her with 4 children to raise. She went to a bank (BIM) to request a loan for 11.000mt to keep on building their home which was not finished due to the high cost of building materials, she paid the loan back in 5 years, paying 550mt monthly.
After the opening of Hluvuku-Adsema in this district, she comes to request a loan to keep on building her home. She finished her house and this is her third loan from Hluvuku and second with Kiva.
She is very thankful for the help she received to obtain her dream of providing more comfort to her family. Her first loan was for 10,000mt was used to buy material for construction, the second for 25,000mt was to finish the construction. The third one is to build a wall and she wants to ask for another loan to buy bricks to embellish the floor of her house.

Os dois mais velhos já estão a trabalhar como Professores primários, a penúltima filha esta no convento a seguir a vida religiosa, Joana seu sustenta o seu filho mais novo e a sua sobrinha órfã de mãe e abandonado pelo pai.
Joana sai de Gaza após seu marido ter sido transferido para trabalhar em Namaacha uma vila na fronteira de Suazilândia. Dois anos depois o seu pedido de transferência sai e ela vai ao encontro do marido levando consigo a sua família. Chegado a Namaacha foi afecta numa das escolas primarias do distrito como professora, trabalha a mais de 20 anos na função publica com um salário mensal no valor de 5.500.00mt e no período da noite tem feito horas extras onde ganha um subsidio de 3.000.00mt.
A vida fica difícil quando seu marido perde a vida deixando a com 4 filhos por criar. Aproxima se a uma instituição bancária (BIM) solicitando um empréstimo no valor de 11.000.00mt para dar continuidade da obra que iniciou com o seu falecido marido, só que esta que não foi concluída devido ao elevado custo de material de construção e tinha que reembolsar o credito em 5 anos pagando mensalmente 550.00mt.
Após a abertura da Hluvuku-Adsema neste distrito, ela aproxima se solicitando um empréstimo para dar continuidade da obra. Hoje ela tem uma casa do tipo três (concluída) sendo este o terceiro empréstimo na Hluvuku e segundo com Kiva.
Ela agradece por lhe terem ajudado a realizar seu sonho e dar mais conforto a sua família. Este è o terceiro empréstimo de Joana na Hluvuku, e o segundo com Kiva .
