As a single mom, Lupe had to cope with her son’s diagnosis of neurofibromatosis on her own. After she learned how to give him daily massages to relieve his pain, Lupe realized how much she enjoyed massage and helping people heal. She enrolled in massage school, graduated, and opened DayDream Therapy, her own massage and wellness center. While there have been setbacks – her computer and massage table were stolen – her business has thrived.
Lupe now needs a $5,000 loan to replace her equipment and expand her business. In addition to serving her own clients, Lupe provides office space, mentoring and training to three single moms who are just starting to build their practices. Lupe’s goal is to help these moms establish their businesses and provide for their families. Lupe also performs free massages for victims of domestic violence, donates profits to children charities and helps with many local fundraising events. She is a hardworking mother who is dedicated to helping others.
